Halloween is all about chocolate and sweets. However, using some of these tips will keep your kids, party guests, or trick-or-treaters happy and healthy! Here’s to a healthier Halloween!
- Fill up first. Having a healthy meal BEFORE your kids go trick-or-treating can reduce their temptation to snack, because their tummies will be full.
- Get moving. Get some exercise by making Halloween a fun family activity. Walk instead of driving kids house to house. Set a goal of how many houses or streets you’ll visit, or compete in teams to do as many as you can.
- Create some healthy scary snacks and monstrous meals, like banana ghosts, apple monster mouths, and carrot witch fingers.
